Rocand continues its expansion with new plant in Mexico

Québec City, Quebec, November 5, 2015 – Building on the strength of its 20 years of constant growth, Rocand proudly announces the launch of its new plant in Silao, Mexico. The 4,128 m2 facility is equipped with high-speed 5-axis CNC machines and injection presses for mold making and plastic-part injection, both for production and prototypes.

“With this new manufacturing plant, Rocand is able to increase its production capacity and collaborate even more closely with its clients and partners,” said Sarah Bégin, Vice President, Operations, about this strategic implementation. Rocand has great plans for its Mexican plant: within the next five years, Rocand Molde y Plástico S de RL de CV expects to employ over 100 people.

A world-class moldmaker

Besides the new Mexican facility and its head office and main plant in Canada, Rocand is also present in France, Brazil and Germany, where its technical support centres enable it to serve  clients around the globe flexibly and efficiently.

Founded in Québec City in 1996, Rocand specializes in design and manufacturing of molds and automated equipment for injection and extrusion blow molding for high-tech plastic parts. Rocand has developed particular expertise in the automotive sector, and has employees in plants and technical-support facilities in Quebec, Germany, Brazil, France and Mexico.
